Van Wert County Hospital received 10 handmade blankets from three LifeLinks students on March 14. The three junior girls made 20 blankets in all, 10 for the hospital and 10 for the YWCA.

The students, Deserae Raines, Megan Slusser and Crystal Edwards worked hard learning to sew and to make the blankets perfect.

We are so appreciative for their generous donation and look forward to giving the adorable quilts to our young patients who visit our hospital.

On hand to accept the donation were (front) Van Wert County Hospital's Director of Obstetrics Sammi Joseph and Director of Patient and Community Relations Ellen Rager. Also pictured are (third from front) student Crystal Edwards, Gary Taylor from Taylor Auto Sales who donated money to purchase fabric, student Megan Slusser, and Charity Storey of the YWCA.
